Most of the stock AR springs I encounter in my shop are shot.  After 25 plus years of providing support to the subchassis, most completely lack the ability to be fine-tuned.  You will find using these upgrade springs will make adjustment of your subchassis much more painless.  Heavy duty springs are intended for use only for exceptionally heavy platters/arms/weights.

Note: It is recommended that the existing studs be replaced at the same time you are replacing the springs.  The longer studs allow for increased adjustment.
